Indicators:
The State of Michigan uses the Michigan Mission Based Performance Indicator System (MMBPIS) to measure and hold accountable the Community Health Agencies’ effectiveness in providing timely, high quality treatment.  This data is calculated based off of specific algorithms per state requirements. Each month, staff monitor and identify trends within the indicators to find outliers.  Outliers are those data points that do not meet the state requirement for a specific indicator.  Community Mental Health Service Providers (CMHSPs) are responsible for 6 indicators, from timeliness to treatment, to how many consumers are readmitted to inpatient facilities after discharge from services.  The results of these indicators are reported to the state on a quarterly basis as shown below.
