Culture:
Did you know? ...Riverwood Center staff have many connections to the schools, justice systems, healthcare providers, and resources in Michigan's great southwest, as well as local, State, and Federal/national resources, workgroups and associations, like NatCon. Our staff truly care about bettering our community, and serving those around us. This year, staff began the process of developing a new Operational Plan for 2018 and beyond, over a series of several months. We also continued to offer Mental Health First Aid training to not only community members, but those willing to travel to our location for a day of education. Participants learned about ALGEE, or the Mental Health First Aid action plan, represented by:

  • Assess for risk of suicide or harm

  • Listen non-judgmentally

  • Give reassurance and Information

  • Encourage appropriate professional help

  • Encourage self-help and other support strategies

Riverwood Center staff also continued to develop upon our Electronic Health Record's functionality, known as "IRIS," to include increased access to our Consumer Portal called "CEHR," (medical information access hub online), which can be found here. The greatly improved “EHR” helps staff give great care to all Riverwood clients. Here at Riverwood Center, we take pride in doing our best, every day, to serve others.
